Sip Like a Sagittarius: Six Cocktails for the Daring and Adventurous

On a press trip a few weeks ago, I found myself discussing astrology in detail for almost an hour with fellow industry colleagues. As someone who truly only understands her own star sign, (Scorpio) and has to reference her Co – Star app to remember her Moon (Capricorn) and Rising (Pisces), I was enthralled by how deep the astrology wormhole can go. You can imagine my shock when I learned about the 12 houses.

Throughout the remainder of the trip, my colleagues and I kept reflecting on how we embodied our Zodiac signs through certain responses and behaviors we had. At one local gin joint we visited, we even got into an in-depth discussion with the bartender about our signs after mentioning how a certain cocktail on their menu “screamed” Libra.

There’s no denying that astrology is more popular than ever before, but as VinePair just reported, “the drinks world has reached peak astrology.” While bars have been creating specific Zodiac-themed cocktails for quite some time, there are now emerging liquor brands inspired by astrology, producing liquid designed to correspond with each Zodiac sign. As writer Flora Tsapovsky said, “there’s never been a better time to imbibe with the stars in mind.”

With this rising trend in mind, and with the Sagittarius season upon us, below we’ve compiled a few fitting cocktails that embody the sign’s adventurous spirit, global curiosity, and penchant for freedom. Whether you’re a fiery Sagittarius or just looking for a bold sip to match the season, these cocktails are the perfect way to toast to the stars.
