Xiquet
Xiquet is a fine-dining Spanish concept in Washington D.C. named after Chef Danny Lledó’s childhood nickname—”Xiquet de Casa,” meaning “house kid” in Valencian. On the first floor, El Taller del Xiquet offers a more casual workshop-style experience, featuring seasonal à la carte dishes and shareable plates rooted in Valencian tradition. Upstairs, Xiquet serves as the Michelin-starred, 30-seat open-kitchen experience, celebrating Chef Lledó’s upbringing by blending the rich culinary traditions of Valencia with the vibrant flavors of the Mid-Atlantic. Xiquet’s menu is rooted in seasonality and responsible sourcing, with the kitchen employing a “nose to tail” philosophy. Its wine program features a thoughtfully curated selection of celebrated and emerging vineyards from Spain and beyond. Since 2021, Xiquet has held a MICHELIN Star, earned MICHELIN’s Sommelier of the Year Award in 2022, and was honored by AAA as the only Five Diamond restaurant currently in the city.
