Markette brings European refinement and Caribbean soul to the heart of Chelsea. The seasonal menu draws on Chef India Doris’s upbringing, where British staples met bold Caribbean spice, along with a culinary journey across Europe, from Normandy to London’s La Trompette and Bibendum. Previously Executive Sous Chef at two MICHELIN-starred SAGA, Chef India leads the concept alongside Managing Partner Alex Pfaffenbach (Eleven Madison Park alum, former Director of Development for Quality Branded). Just steps from Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, and Hudson Yards, the 60-seat space and 15-seat bar designed by Fogarty Finger features velvet green chairs, burnt orange banquettes, and a custom mural from Nashville-based artist Charlotte Terrell. The beverage program, helmed by Kyle Jackson (previously of World’s 50 Best-recognized Overstory), is bright and culinary, blending tropical ingredients with Caribbean and European drinking traditions. Tamarind, guava, hibiscus and jerk spice are incorporated across categories like Tall & Crisp, Shaken & Fresh and Spirited & Bold, along with elevated non-alcoholic options. The result is a singular dining experience in the heart of Manhattan, where exceptional food, drink, and design come together for conversation and community.
