To help you prepare for a travel-filled summer, RHC’s Georgia Vickerson has pulled together a list of her go-to travel items that make any trip an absolute breeze.
People spend a lot of time thinking about their next vacation. Travel is an itch that I never want to stop scratching, and deciding where to go next is always fun. I’ve put together a list of my top travel items. Use this list as a resource for gifts to your wanderlust friends or just to treat yourself.

Apotheke Co’s Hinoki Lavendar Candle Travel Tin Size
Scent is incredibly evocative and can transport you anywhere. I love to take a travel-sized candle with me to feel a touch of home, and I love Apotheke Co’s Hinoki Lavendar scent to help relax me after a long day of traveling. They have many scents in this size, so you can easily create an atmosphere wherever you go.

Cocktail Kingdom’s Bartender’s Backpack
A quality travel bag is essential whether you’re going somewhere for a day or a week. What I love about this bag is its versatility, practicality, and looks in style, all at the same time. Waterproof lining, padded laptop compartment with bees waxed canvas exterior; it also comes with extra deep side pockets perfect for carrying that bottle of wine to a scenic outdoor picnic.

TRTL Pillow
I was initially skeptical—the Trtl, which has been described as “essentially a padded scarf, taking up the same amount of space as a couple of magazines.” But the Trtl won me over again and again with its versatility and portability, and I can’t imagine sleeping on a flight without it since. It lets you sleep decently even if you’re in the middle seat and prevents you from waking up with a stiff airplane neck. I’ve even used it on a long train ride; it can go everywhere.

AWAY Bigger Carry On in Lavendar
Whether you’re headed off on a long trip or planning to pack everything you need for a weekend away, this carry-on is sized to fit easily into the overhead bins of most major airlines and will still fit easily into the trunk of your car. It features 360° spinner wheels for easy mobility, plus an interior compression system to help keep your stuff organized. Plus, it comes with a water-resistant laundry bag—perfect for keeping your dirty clothes separate from your clean ones. I love it in this beautiful lavender color, and this way, you’ll be able to spot your luggage in no time.

Blackened Yeti Tumbler
Hydration and caffeine are two key elements to making traveling a breeze. A portable, insulated tumbler is perfect for both hot and cold drinks so you can sip on a hot coffee or icy chilled water to your heart’s content. It’s also a fun way to show off your personality. I love my branded Blackened tumbler, which is the whisky from the iconic band Metallica.

When traveling, you’re typically sitting down for hours, usually with blasts of air conditioning on you, so being comfortable but still stylish is paramount for me. A favorite travel souvenir of mine is buying merch from some of my favorite bars, restaurants, and hotels when I travel. It’s a wearable reminder of where you’ve been and often is a great conversation starter. Try:
All in all, you don’t have to be an adventure-seeking enthusiast to appreciate the value of these items. They will add comfort and convenience to any trip, big or small. Plus, they are all things that are worth adding to your own travel essentials kit (if you don’t already have one). A few might even change the way you think about travel, giving you fresh new perspectives on what it means to wander. But, of course, the best part of traveling is the people you meet and the experiences you have. So these items will try to help make your adventures that much more memorable.
