Papa Salt Gin
Reminiscent of slow’n’salty days swapping stories between swims, Papa Salt is an easy-drinking gin made for sharing.
Created by five friends, Charlie Maas, Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, Margot Robbie and Regan Riskas Maas and developed over five years and 59 recipe variations, Papa Salt is a clean, slightly savoury coastal gin that brings together native Australian botanicals including roasted nutty wattleseed, the zing of ginger and a hint of subtle salinity inspired by oyster shells.
The gin, developed in collaboration with the award-winning, zero-waste Lord Byron Distillery, is designed for easy, unhurried social occasions, drawing on Australian sensibilities for informal hospitality – centred around good drinks and good company.
Launched in Australia in 2023, Papa Salt is now Australia’s largest spirit exporter, and is available across the globe from Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and Italy as well as nationwide throughout the UK.
